BEHIND the LENS
Danforth Neal is a destination wedding photography duo comprised of artists and husbands Todd Danforth & Adam Neal. With a deeply-rooted technical skillset and multifaceted photographic approach, they document compelling visual stories around the world.
Todd and Adam split the year between homes in New England and Southern California. When they are not enjoying the best of each season on either coast, they can be spotted in airports, hotels, galleries, local cafes, and used bookstores while traveling for photographic assignments globally.
Todd DANFORTH
Todd Danforth is a writer and photographer with a background and education in the fine arts. A New Englander born and raised, Todd began his photographic training over twenty years ago in the darkroom, honing his technical expertise, art history education, and documentary style. His passion for portraiture has inspired a number of personal photographic essays which have been exhibited and published nationally and internationally. He was awarded a Getty Images Creative Grant for his current portrait project and book, Queer Inheritance, exploring history, community, and identity through cross-generational dialogue and photographic preservation of LGBTQ people.
Adam NEAL
Adam Neal is an artist and photographer. In 2018, Adam and Todd joined forces and Danforth Neal was born. With an education and training in the sciences, Adam brings a keen and analytical eye for detail, paired with a unique artistic perspective and disarming personality. Beyond documenting weddings and milestone events, Adam is currently working on a long-term international documentary photographic project, GYOPO, which explores Korean immigrant culture through the destabilizing perspective of diaspora, intertwining lens-based portraiture and street photography depicting scenes of everyday life in South Korea and K-towns around the United States.
